Plaridel

Plaridel is a beautiful town located on the Northern fringes of Mindanao Island in the Philippines. It is a peaceful and tranquil place without the hassle of the normal rush of tourist activity, but how long it will remain this way is anybodies guess. In other words it has not yet been discovered by the touristic trades. Plaridel does not encounter any inclement climatic conditions as experienced in certain other parts of the Philippines thanks to being protected on the west side by the Island of Palawan and Western Visayas Islands, on the North side by the Islands of Central Visayas on the West side by the Islands of Eastern Visayas. The population of Plaridel is approximately 33,000.

Plaridel is accessible by it's own deep water harbour which services several types of craft like fast ferries which travels to Siquijor, Tagbilaran, Bohol and Cebu City. Plaridel is also accessible by air from Manila and also from Cebu via Dipolog airport which is about 70 kms. away. Flying time from Manila is 1 hour and 10 minutes and from Cebu about 45 minutes.
